Former NBA star Dwyane Wade shows his freedom of expression through his eclectic style. Now he says he’s considering a nail polish line to expand on his interest in fashion and beauty.
“I’m creative, I’m expressive,” he told Jericka Duncan in an interview with CBS Mornings after she admired his nails, saying that his manicure looked better than hers.
“I’m actually thinking about jumping into the nail line… Yeah, I’ve been thinking about it. Like I’ve been in it so long,” Wade said. “And I’m like, You know what, it could be a good time, but I got some cool ideas and I’m exploring. I’ve been having some conversations on my own about exploring.”
Wade has worn nail polish on his hands and feet since 2008. He did so initially, he says, to cover toenails and feet beaten up by basketball. In 2011, he told GQ Sports that he thought it looked “cool.” But Wade said when he told his bestie LeBron James that he was painting his nails, James at first said he was crazy.
