Tipsy Scoop & Mi Campo Tequila Drop New Sorbet
Tipsy Scoop and Mi Campo Tequila Launch New Boozy Ice Cream Collab
Summer seems to be zooming by but there are plenty of warm, sunny days ahead of us. We just learned that July is National Ice Cream Month and a new collaboration between Tipsy Scoop and Mi Campo Tequila recently launched featuring Sour Watermelon Margarita Sorbet.
Although I’ve been covering adult beverages for a few years now, I’ve yet to have boozy ice cream or sorbet although the concept is intriguing to me. Founded by Melissa Tavss in 2014, Tipsy Scoop follows her family’s ice cream-making tradition with creations inspired by classic cocktails owing to Tavss’ background in the wine and spirits industry.
What I love about Tipsy Scoop is the cleverly named “Barlours” — essentially, ice cream parlors that also double as a cocktail bar. Joining forces with Mi Campo Tequila, made with 100 percent blue agave from Jalisco as the law dictates, the brands rolled out their limited edition diary-free Sour Watermelon Margarita sorbet flavor.
Watermelon Margaritas are already a solid cocktail option but having it all together in a handy, scoopable sorbet is too perfect to pass up. Also, National Tequila Day is on July 24 so this would be a great way to celebrate.
For those who wish to sample this new flavor, check out one of the Barlour locations in New York and Washington, D.C. If you’re unable to visit a Tipsy Scoop Barlour, a 4-pack of the collaboration is available nationwide via Goldbelly for $99.95.
