Karine Jean-Pierre Shuts Down Peter Doocy Over Kamala Harris
Peter Doocy Asks Karine Jean-Pierre About Kamala Harris “Southern Accent,” Gets Shut Down

In today’s episode of Reching Republicans and Their Desperate Digs, video footage has been floating around social media that shows Vice President Kamala Harris speaking at a campaign event in Detroit where she praised labor unions and said in an excited tone that we “better tank your union member for the five day work week,” “sick leave,” “paid leave” and other worker-related gains.
For whatever reason, white conservatives detected a change in Harris’ accent while she spoke, which some of them called “southern ebonics,” indicating that they have no idea WTF they’re talking about when it comes to the way Black people speak.
But like all petty and irrelevant attacks on Harris, white people across the MAGA world are taking this one and running with it — despite how obvious it should be that the manner in which Harris says “you better” is not a thing anyone else could possibly care about.
This brings us to Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy, who thought he would remind the world how unserious Fox News employees are about journalism by attempting to press White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on why Harris spoke the way she did.
“Since when does the Vice President have what sounds like a Southern accent?” Doocy asked Jean-Pierre, who was having none of his unmitigated white nonsense.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Jean-Pierre replied.
“She was talking about unions in Detroit using one tone of voice,” Doocy whitesplained. “She used the same line in Pittsburgh, and it sounded like she at least had some kind of a Southern drawl.”
“I mean, do you hear the question that you’re [asking]?” Jean-Pierre snapped. “I mean, do you think Americans seriously think that this is an important question?”
“You know what they care about?” she continued. “They care about the economy. They care about lowering costs. They care about health care. That’s what Americans care about.”
Doocy kept trying to press his stupid-ass question — because he, apparently, truly believes right-wing internet gossip translates well in an in-person White House press briefing — but Jean-Pierre refused to engage with his childishness.
“I’m not even going to entertain some question about the… It’s just… Hearing it sounds so ridiculous,” she explained. “The question, I’m talking about the questions, is just insane.”
“Is that how she talks in meetings?” Doocy asked idiotically.
“I’m just… Peter, we’re moving on. We’re so moving on,” Jean-Pierre said.
White MAGA supporters have already watched these petty attacks on Harris fail. Donald Trump and others make caucasity-infused remarks about how she identifies racially, and those remarks do nothing but backfire. They’ve erroneously tried to claim she “slept her way to the top,” and it has done nothing to stop her poll numbers from surging.
Hell, Harris herself has had to treat interviews the same way Jean-Pierre treated Doocy after they kept harping on the white-and-racist narrative around her racial identity, which was prompted by Trump’s racist AF appearance at NABJ.
“Next question please,” Harris told CNN’s Dana Bash last month when she was asked about Trump’s claim that she only used to identify as Indian before she “happened to turn Black.”
It’s almost as if one can’t be a Black woman in politics without constantly having to grapple with the obtuseness and obliviousness of mediocre white people.
Imagine how insufferable they’re going to be if Harris wins in November.
