Miami Art Week 2024 has concluded, and “The Magic City” played host to several dozen artists, including the SCOPE art exhibit showing that Acura invited CASSIUS to attend this year. During our brief stay in Miami, we had the pleasure of meeting with Acura partner and artist Dalkhafine, along with a first look at the upcoming ADX vehicle model and much more.

The Acura team hosted a group of media professionals at Loews Miami Beach, a lovely beachside property that also held live art showings with throngs of fashionable folks taking in the sights. Just outside of the hotel, the art of Dalkhafine was on full display as a pair of the latest ZDX and upcoming ADX models were wrapped in her signature style. Just as the work caught our eye, hotel patrons were also wowed by the display and were curious about the vehicle and the art that adorned the ZDX and ADX.

Before we attended the sprawling SCOPE art show, Acura treated us with a daytime drive of its innovative all-electric crossover SUV, the ZDX, a marvel in automotive technology, that leans into the luxury and sensibilities of the brand. Once again, the ZDX, with its powerful speed and head-turning looks, sparked curiosity among those who encountered us on the drive.

Arriving at the SCOPE exhibit right off the famous Ocean Drive, we were greeted by several amazing displays of artwork from the likes of Hebru Brantley and other notable artists in the massive structure. Just outside of the exhibit hall, Acura set up a corner featuring a silver-wrapped ADX model along with an unwrapped model for media members to capture content within.

Dalkhafine was gracious enough to speak with CASSIUS about her art, what inspires her, and how working with Acura has been going thus far. As a muralist, Dalkhafine has worked with several brands and draws inspiration from all kinds of sources.

“I just love the idea of big, bold colors and letting them tell the story instead of me as an artist attempting to get people to see what I want them to see,” Dalkhafine shared. “My work is inspired by music and even graffiti in some ways, but the boldness of color is really what I want people to feel.”

Regarding her partnership with Acura, the Montreal artist expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with one of the top auto brands in the world.

“Acura is a brand I wanted to work with for a long time, so this, even seeing it now, is a dream come true. I’ve worked with other brands but they’ve given me everything I could need and more,” she added.

Concerning the ADX model, Group Lead of Acura Brand PR Matt Burnam shared with us the company’s vision for the ADX, which will make its official road debut next year.

“We envision the ADX’s target audience to be anywhere from a pair of young professionals looking to enter the luxury car market, or empty nesters ready to splurge on themselves with a high-quality vehicle that still provides comfort and convenience,” Burnam told us.
