Jamie Foxx Wants ‘Jackass’ Crew To Face Charges For Glass Throwing Incident

If you remember, Jamie Foxx was having a nice night out celebrating his 57th birthday earlier this month, when he was allegedly accosted by members of the Jackass crew. Foxx was with his daughters Analise, 16 and Corrine, 30, having dinner at the celebrity nightspot Mr. Chow when members of the group thought it would be funny to project an image of a penis onto his table with a laser pointer.
Foxx and his friends didn’t get the joke and confronted the guys renting out a VIP area upstairs. In the ensuing altercation, Foxx was injured to the point he needed stitches when someone threw a glass and hit him in the face.
Now Foxx is saying he wants to press charges. Per TMZ, the police have obtained video footage and are looking to speak to actor Jasper Dolphin, who was there on the night Foxx was hurt. Dolphin is an actor and prankster who is affiliated with the Odd Future collective. Born Devon Wilson, the 34-year-old was introduced as a member of the Jackass crew in the movie Jackass Forever in 2022.
Though police have the footage no one has been arrested yet, nor has anything on the video been revealed.
The incident sent Foxx to the hospital for stitches to his face when a heavy glass thrown by someone in the Jackass entourage hit him in the face.
Afterward, the only public comments Foxx made were via a social media post where he said, “The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it… the lights have been shining bright…”
Foxx’ new comedy special, What Had Happened Was debuted on Netflix earlier this month. In the show, he recounted what went down after he was hospitalized in 2022 with an “undisclosed medical emergency.” He says he had a brain bleed and a stroke and credited his daughters and sister for keeping him alive and keeping what was going on out of the press.
Despite the altercation, Foxx said recovering from his medical situation gave him a refreshed outlook on life. He appears to be enjoying the holiday season as he showcased the lavish Christmas light display at his L.A. home.
