It looks like Angel Reese might not be as active on social media as before. She has apparently deactivated her Instagram account after wearing a revealing dress.
As spotted on Page Six The Bayou Barbie has turned off her Instagram. As of Friday, Jan. 3 the WNBA star’s account has been inaccessible. Leading up to that day the Louisiana State University alumni has been super active on the platform by sharing her life almost on a daily basis.
Most recently, she posted a video of her New Year’s Eve outfit, which was a very risqué dress that featured a large cut-out design in the front and a slit on the side. Everything was held together by spaghetti straps, which left very little to the imagination.
By the time the clip arrived on X, formerly known as Twitter, she had received a mix of praise, criticism and concern from fans.
“She has a lot of trust in that string,” one user wrote. “This girl just wants more attention but don’t want to hoop lol.” Another said defended her saying “She’s 22! She’s young and fly and supposed to stunt rn. I don’t understand all the hate and negativity.”
While she has left Instagram, her other social media channels remain active, with her posting to X as recent as of Sunday, Jan. 5. “Them mf tables always turn.” she wrote.
Angel Reese enjoyed a dominant rookie season in the WNBA. She led the league in rebounds in 2024 and was also named to the All-Star team and All-Rookie Team.
However, her season was cut short due to an injury in her left wrist needing surgery. But in the coming months, the WNBA will be ramping up again, with the draft taking place on April 14 and the regular season beginning just a month later.
