Another day, another sexual assault lawsuit filed against the Bad Boy mogul whose legacy and reputation will be forever tarnished regardless of how the numerous cases against him shake out.
According to Page Six, on Monday, Sean “Diddy” Combs became the defendant in yet another lawsuit filed by another “Jane Doe” who accused the 55-year-old of raping her in 2000, when she was an underaged girl.
In the suit, which also names two other defendants who haven’t been publicly identified, Combs’ latest accuser claims she was leaving her part-time babysitting job in Lower Manhattan when she encountered the “All About the Benjamins” artist and the other defendants outside of a building where one of Diddy’s “well-known” ex-girlfriends also lived.
From Page Six:
“Combs engaged her in conversation, asking where she was going so late at night, and that it was not safe for her to be walking alone,” the documents read.
“Combs and his staff, the two male co-defendants, proceeded to a location where she was sexually assaulted by Combs,” the lawsuit read.
The woman said Combs’ employees later drove her home and “left [her] in the lobby” after the alleged rape.
She is suing for unspecified damages.
Although the alleged assault occurred nearly 25 years ago, Jane Doe cited the NYC Victims of Gender Motivated Violence Protection Act, which allows “survivors of gender-based violence to file civil lawsuits against their abusers” outside the statute of limitations.
Diddy is currently a defendant in more than two dozen lawsuits alleging sexual assault, rape and other abuses, but that hasn’t stopped his legal team from responding to all of the allegations against him by claiming he’s innocent of all of it and is actually the victim of malicious lies. His team’s response to the latest suit is no different and even appears to acknowledge the multitude of allegations.
“No matter how many lawsuits are filed, it won’t change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone — man or woman, adult or minor,” Diddy’s attorneys said in a statement. “We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court.”
So, basically, dozens of accusers are all telling the same lies on a perfectly innocent man. Got it.
