Nearly two years removed from the slap heard around the world between Will Smith and Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony, but drama continues.

It turns out embarrassing someone on national TV isn’t an easy thing to get over and Smith is still is holding a grudge.

A source contacted In Touch Weekly to reveal that The Fresh Prince will never forgive the fellow comedian because despite him being to patch up his image in the last year, he’ll never get over him “ruining his life.”

[“H]e still hates the guy and his smug attitude. Chris isn’t the victim here, not in Will’s opinion,” the source revealed. “A lot of people would agree with Will and think what’s happening to Chris is karma for refusing to speak to Will or accept his apology.”

But as expected, Chris is still dealing with the repercussions of the smack as well because he was left with a sore cheek and bruised ego.

“From Chris’ end, he’s still haunted by what happened on that Oscars stage. He suffers from PTSD. Like Will, he’s never recovered from that slap,” the source added.

No one is quite sure if the two megastars will eventually peace it up and have a reunion, but the source says, “Others feel the best thing would be for these two egomaniacs to come together and hug it out, but they’re too proud.”

Smith’s stage-storming incident came when Rock was about to present the award for Best Documentary Feature and made fun of Jada Pinkett Smith’s baldhead –a result of alopecia– joking, “Jada, can’t wait for G.I. Jane 2.”

Smith then got up, smacked Rock and walked back to his seat, with many in the audience and watching on TV assuming it was a sketch. Rock tried to continue the joke, but that’s when Smith infamously shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out your f-cking mouth.”

Despite winning for his role in King Richard later that night, Smith was eventually banned from attending the Oscars or any other Academy event for 10 years.
