Diddy Cries Racism In Hopes Of Dismissing Sex Trafficking Charges

After three failed bail attempts and several statements from his lawyers claiming his innocence, Diddy has now pulled the race card.
Diddy’s legal team now says the federal racketeering charges that could put him behind bars for 15 years are racially charged. They believe that if he were white, he’d be a free man because no one ever goes down for the Mann Act, a federal law that’s classified as moving people across state lines for sex.
It was first called the White-Slave Traffic Act, which Diddy’s lawyers argue “target Black men and supposedly protect white women from them.”
“This case is unprecedented in many ways, but perhaps most notably, and most disturbingly, no white person has ever been the target of a remotely similar prosecution,” the filing reads. “There has never been a similar RICO prosecution… no other person, and certainly no white person, has ever previously been prosecuted under the White-Slave Traffic Act for hiring male escorts from another State.”
According to CNN, documents say that Diddy being a Black billionaire and immensely powerful in Hollywood music and entertainment spaces has led to a target on his back and authorities singling him out.
“What was racist in its inception has often been racist in its operation,” the filing reads, as they claim the statute has only come at the detriment of people of color.
However, back in 2021, Ghislain Maxwell, the longtime friend and accomplice of Jeffrey Epstein, was convicted of child sex trafficking under the Mann Act.
Combs is facing three federal charges, including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. He has pled not guilty to all charges and is currently held at Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
The lawyers are looking to dismiss the charges. Still, prosecutors have already denied the race plea as Diddy faces dozens of victims accusing him of wielding his power and money against them, promising music careers, and sexually assaulting them after allegedly spiking their drinks.
