Months removed from the Kendrick Lamar and Drake beef, the aftereffects are still being felt.
Streamer Adin Ross has been a supporter of Drake amid the battle, and the support now seems to be getting him in some trouble. He’s allegedly banned from stepping foot in Los Angeles.
It began when Toronto rapper Top5 –whose legal bills were paid for by Drake– was released from prison after the murder case he was facing was dismissed because of an evidence issue. Soon after, he hosted a stream with Ross where he called out Metro Boomin and Kendrick Lamar.
Then, Cuhmunity podcast hosts and California natives AD and Pun claimed that Ross was no longer welcome on the West Coast, saying, āAdin Ross stood on business. He said he gonna have his security beat on us. Heās gonna come to LA, n-gga ⦠Adin Ross, lemme give you a tip. Security get popped everyday, b.”
Ross responds to the video, saying, āSo come do it. Go to jail for the rest of your life. Itās so worth it, bro. Your shitty life. Come on, letās try it. Letās make some magic happen. Come on, try it. At least youāll go to jail for what, a minimum five years in LA, what is it? I got the best lawyers of all time, baby. Letās do it. And Iām gonna low key sue you for that. I canāt wait.ā
The streamer continued, threatening legal action if the podcasters got violent.
āLemme get that clip again. Put that in my phone right now send that right to my lawyer. I promise you Iām serving you ASAP. Donāt ever threaten my life again, you big b-tch. Go start a family. This podcast shit is not for you. Iām not a gangster. Iām not about that life at all. Thatās why I said security is gonna do what theyāre gonna do. But now? Iām going straight to my lawyers.ā
Since the outburst, Ross has changed his mind regarding his LA comments, apologizing for his comments.
“I do want to clarify and take a step back, and really in the moment, I was obviously talking crazy and sh-t,ā he added. āIām not necessarily apologizing to people I was talking towards. But I do want to say one thing: LA is to not be f-cked with. LA is a serious place, and I love LA Seriously, I love LA”
