More than a year after his viral interview with Katt Williams, Shannon Sharpe has continued inviting some of the culture’s biggest stars to his Club Shay Shay platform to get comfortable and start revealing answers to some of the questions we all have about Hollywood.
The latest to sit opposite him was Amber Rose. She was open about her relationship with Kanye West, which catapulted her into pop culture. He has since moved on to a seven-year marriage with Kim Kardashian and is now partnered with former Yeezy architect Bianca Censori.
While most details of his relationship with Censori remain under wraps, many have questioned the power dynamics because of his alleged regained billionaire status and the barely-there outfits she wears in public, namely the sheer dress stunt at the Grammys.
In talking to Sharpe, Rose explains that Ye wanting his partners to dress provocatively is nothing new.
“Kanye’s for sure dressing [Bianca] like that. He did the same thing to me and Kim. That’s just who he is. He wants other men to want to f-ck his woman. That’s what he’s into. He likes that men are drooling over his woman,” Rose said.
“I was young. I’m gonna tell Kanye no?” Rose said, who was 25 when their relationship began.
Rose clarifies that she only dressed like a “whore” while out with Ye, and when she was out alone, she’d “rebel” and be more covered up, wearing the clothes she found while raiding his closet.
Sharpe then recalls a see-through dress Rose wore at the time, which was similar to what Censori wears nowadays, and Rose recalls how she felt dressing that way.
“I remember crying. I was in Italy or Paris or something, and I remember crying and arguing with him and being like, ‘I don’t want to f-cking wear this,'” she recalls.
“You don’t understand! It’s fashion! I’m a genius,” she said was Ye’s response.
She recounts her embarrassment and says that now, with two sons, she’d never do something like that again.
Elsewhere in the two-hour interview, Rose also spoke about going to plenty of Diddy parties over the years but never had an inkling about any of his alleged “Freak off” sex parties.
