While the WNBA has steadily gained traction thanks to its personalities and growing talent, Angel Reese is one of the reasons at the top of the list.
From her college rivalry with Caitlin Clark to getting drafted by the Chicago Sky and becoming the Chi-town Barbie, she’s stayed a hot topic. Today, the Maryland native turns 23, and she’s got a lot to be thankful for.
She turned a successful NIL college career into an even more lucrative WNBA one with sponsorship deals with companies like PlayStation, Raising Cane’s, McDonald’s, Coach, and Wingstop.
Plus basketball stays at the forefront of her mind as she signed a deal with Reebok, where he helps to revitalize its basketball sector — at the request of Shaquille O’Neal— and will make history as only the second woman to ever get a signature sneaker with the brand.
Even off the court, Reese is pretty popular. Some people have shamelessly become fans because they’re attracted to her, and the internet went crazy when she showed off her athletic body when she posed for Sports Illustrated Swimsuit.
She posed in bikinis for the spread and told SI Swimsuit that even though she’s competitive on the court, don’t let that confuse you into thinking she doesn’t clean up nicely.
“The biggest takeaway I want people to know is you can be girly off the court and still have swag and just be who you are. I mean, I embrace my body and who I am and on the court I can still ball,” she said. “I am 6’3″, I work out a lot so why not show it? I got a nice little body. When I go to the beach or go to the pool and everybody’s looking, it’s like, ‘damn, you sexy girl.’”
