One of the culture’s most celebrated institutions is about to come to life via fashion. Circulate has announced a capsule with the National Jazz Museum.
As spotted on Hype Beast the Los Angeles, CA. based brand has announced a co-branded drop with the Harlem landmark. On Friday, Nov. 15 the company revealed the pieces for their holiday 2024 collection. “Inspired by the iconic imagery and spirit of jazz music. The collection showcases photography by legendary jazz photographer William P. Gottlieb, whose images of jazz greats captures the essence of the genre during its golden era in NYC’s legendary jazz clubs” the Instagram post read.

It also features the famous quote from Jazz pioneer Miles Davis, which reads “Don’t play what’s there, play what’s not there.”
Also sure to be a popular release is the Cafe Society t-shirt, which features a picture of Billie Holiday with her name spelled throughout the front. The shirt references New York City’s Café Society venue, where she performed. She delivered a memorable rendition of “Strange Fruit,” a song that protested the lynching of Black Americans.
The Circulate x National Jazz Museum capsule collection is available now. Prices range from $40 for a t-shirt, $100 for hoodies to $120 for pants, and $600 for a varsity jacket. For those really into records and looking to protect their coveted collections, there’s a $25 slipmat two-pack. You can shop the entire collection on Circulate’s website here.
