Diddy‘s second bail appeal was denied, unearthing more damning alleged evidence of his past.
On Wednesday, Sept.18, the appeal was denied, and it revealed to the public the texts he sent Cassie after beating her in 2016, pleading with her to return.
“Call me, the cops are here. I got six kids. Yo, please call, I am surrounded. You gonna abandon me all alone,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Emily Johnson read out during the hearing as he awaits the sex trafficking trial.
Refusing, Cassie responded to Diddy that she was still reeling from the attack.
“I have a black eye and a fat lip. You are sick for thinking it’s okay to do what you’ve done. I still have crazy bruising,” she replied. “When you get f-cked up, you knock me around. I’m not a rag doll. I’m someone’s child.”
The ordeal dates back to 2016, but a video was released via CNN in May showing Diddy chasing Cassie down a hotel hallway. She can be seen carrying her bags to the elevator bank of the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles.
But soon after, Diddy can be seen trailing behind her –only wearing a towel– and grabs her by the back of her neck before throwing her to the floor. As she lies on the floor, he proceeds to kick her several times and takes her luggage.
In Cassie’s initial lawsuit, the same account was mentioned, as she said she attempted to leave the hotel room while he was sleeping, but he awoke and began throwing glass vases while following her.
Diddy’s attorney, Marc Agnifilo, also gave more clarity as to why the beating occurred, saying it happened when Cassie went through his phone while he was sleeping to discover that he was cheating. In anger, she reportedly threw the phone at his head and left the room with his clothes.
Agnifilo attempted to get the hip hop mogul bail, naming the sacrifices he’s made since the alleged sex abuse cases became public months ago, including moving to New York in anticipation of the arrest, giving up his passports and several of his kids’, selling his plane among other conditions as part of $50 million bail package.
