Donald Trump isn’t officially back in the White House yet, but the president-elect is letting us know early that he will be doing what he does best during his 4-year term, and that’s lie his orange a** off.
In his first post-election interview following his unfortunate victory, Donald Trump sat down with Meet The Press’ Kristen Welker for a wide-ranging interview. As expected, he regurgitated the same false claims he had made while on the campaign trail and while he was a convicted felon/citizen following his election loss to President Joe Biden.
As usual, Trump showed his penchant for being a raging sexist, especially towards Black women, while being interviewed by Welker, telling the Emmy Award-winning television journalist at one point during the December 8 interview, “You have such potential. If you could be just non-biased… you hurt yourself so badly,” because she asked him about his dumb and extremely divisive policies.
Trump maintains his composure as “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker grows frustrated.

Donald Trump On Immigration
Trump also made sure to keep his well-known racist energy toward migrants by blatantly butchering data from Immigration and Customs Enforcement, ridiculously claiming that 13,000 immigrants who had committed murder “released into our country over the last three years,” to make it seem like the Biden/Harris administration was incompetent on the matter.
When Welker pressed him on his ambitious mass deportation plan, Trump, in his usual tone, said, “Well, I think you have to do it, and it’s a hard – it’s a very tough thing to do. But you have to have rules, regulations, laws. They came in illegally. You know the people that have been treated very unfairly are the people that have been on line for ten years to come into the country. And we’re going to make it very easy for people to come in in terms of they have to pass the test.”
The divider-in-chief also wants to get rid of birthright citizenship and claims the United States is the only nation that grants it, but someone should tell him that 30 other nations allow the principle.
Trump Brought Back His Greatest Hits, aka Lies
During the interview, he went back to one of his greatest hits—no, not the big lie claiming the 2020 election was stolen, but the notion that he somehow got NATO countries to dish out more money to boost their contributions. “I was able to get hundreds of billions of dollars put into NATO just by a tough attitude,” Trump said. According to the New York Times, an agreement has existed since 2014.
It wouldn’t be a Trump interview if he didn’t lie about his popularity, telling Welker, “just prior to Covid coming in, I had polls that were the highest.”
That is also not true. In 2020, the orange menace had a 48% approval rating, which ranked him lower than all but three presidents, including Harry S. Truman, who is regarded as one of the most unpopular presidents ever.
Social media didn’t waste time clowning the notorious liar and rating Welker’s performance. You can see those reactions below.
