Donald Trump was officially sworn in as the 47th president of the United States as the Inauguration was underway.

And just like every time since he walked down that gold elevator in 2015 to announce his first presidential run, every public appearance is more head-scratching than the next.

With him back in the White House, he didn’t hesitate to tout his plan for the country while giving his Inauguration speech at the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.

He has 200 actions to sign on his first day in office, and many leave Americans outraged.

One of the most controversial is immigration, for which he officially declared a national emergency at the Southern border. The action includes using the Department of Defense’s armed forces to help build walls and committing mass deportation, which the Pope has called a “disgrace.”

He included references to the Black and Hispanic votes he won and promised to return the favor.

“To the Black and Hispanic communities, thank you for the trust and love you gave to me,” Trump said. “We set records, and I will not forget it.”

Other odd talking includes his penchant for wanting to rename the Gulf of Mexico and the Panama Canal, bragging about how quickly he’d end the Ukraine-Russia war, ending inflation, pardoning Jan. 6 culprits, and even transphobic remarks.

President Trump declared that going forward, it would “be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders, male and female.”

“We will drill, baby, drill,” he said, referring to his disregard for environmental safety regarding the end of the mandate for electric cars and his vow to bring automobile building to America.

To continue his love of being untraditional, after the speech ended, he wanted to see more of his supporters, so he went down to the Emancipation Hall to continue his rambles—sans prompters—which were scheduled for a few minutes but lasted more than half an hour.

He spoke about Hillary Clinton not being happy to see him, still thinking the 2020 Presidential election was rigged, as well as California democrats cheating in the 2024 election.

Social media was, of course, tuned in and eagle-eyed on all the happenings. Check out the reactions below.
