The bevy of sexual assault allegations aimed at Diddy has spilled over to another one of Hip-Hop’s biggest stars.

Jay-Z‘s name has now been mentioned in a previously released Diddy lawsuit. Back in October, one of Diddy’s suits alleged that he was at an MTV VMAs after-party in 2000 when he raped a 13-year-old girl. There were reportedly other female and male celebrities present during the sexual assault, and now Jane Doe is claiming that the male was Jay-Z.

Hov learned of the civil lawsuit that was refiled. In a rare moment, he released a statement on Roc Nation’s social media pages accusing the lawyer, Tony Buzbee, of blackmailing him.

“My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee. What he had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle,” Jay-Z said. “No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are in a VERY public fashion. So no, I will not give you ONE RED PENNY!!”

Jay-Z even dared Buzbee to file a criminal suit if he was so sure he was guilty and shunned the idea of committing such a crime with a minor.

“These allegations are so heinous in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one!! Whomever would commit such a crime against a minor should be locked away, would you not agree?” the statement continued. “These alleged victims would deserve real justice if that were the case.”

He even gets personal about the stain on his name, explaining that he’ll now have to sit down with his wife Beyoncé and their three kids and have a tough conversation about what the family’s now facing but vows that he’ll continue to defend his name.

“You seem to exploit people for personal gain. Only your network of conspiracy theorists, fake physics, will believe the idiotic claims you have levied against me that, if not for the seriousness surrounding harm to kids, would be laughable.”

Jay-Z is rarely in the news for anything other than his music or business dealings, so social media has exploded with responses. See the reactions below.
