Kanye West has miraculously remained pretty quiet lately, but trust that his endless rants will never be forgotten.

For many, the last straw came amid his antisemitic comments via Twitter and interviews with paparazzi.

Now, an unearthed interview from 2022 with right-winged commentator Candace Owens’ Candace platform reveals Kanye’s blaming the entire blowup on being intoxicated, namely Hennessy.

“I definitely was drinking when I put up the death con tweet,” he told Owens at the 1:06:00 mark of the conversation. “You know whose, I wanna say alcohol I had inside me?” he asked her. “Bernard Arnault. Hennessy. Hennessy. It turns us gray. Literally, the demons [come in].”

However, in typical Kanye style, he was not willing to admit that his statements were wrong; he didn’t want people to know he was under the influence because it didn’t affect the validity of his comments.

“Because it keeps taking away the fact of what I was saying or what I was about to do,” he said, thinking people discredit him. Sometimes, the truth comes through, and I didn’t want it to take away from the fact of what I was saying.

It was in 2022 when West took to Instagram saying he was going to go “Death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE” but claimed he couldn’t be antisemitic because Black people are also of the Jewish faith.

His business dealings began to spiral, including adidas cutting ties with him and subsequently having fire sales of millions of dollars worth of remaining Yeezy inventory. Ye has made hundreds of millions of dollars from the sale, but adidas wiped their hands of his relationship afterward.

His partnership with Gap dissolved as a result as well, with the company immediately removing Yeezy GAP clothing from retail stores and immediately shutting down the Yeezy Gap site because “Antisemitism, racism, and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values.”

Since then, Ye has focused his attention on his collaborative Vultures album with Ty Dolla $ign and has sold merch bearing the album’s name on his yeezy.com
