Jonathan Majors’ apology tour has hit another speed bump.
First, it was The Hollywood Reporter profile with praise from Michael B. Jordan and Whoopi Goldberg and an appearance on Sherri Shepherd’s show as he attempted to repair his image after he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari.
Next up was supposed to be a conversation on Keke Palmer’s Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast. The actress has been teasing the episode for the better part of the week, entitled “No Easy Answers: Accountability and Moving Forward With Jonathan Majors.”
Though the title signified that he wouldn’t be babied with softball questions, social media was immediately outraged that he was given a platform after the drama with his ex-girlfriend, including recently unearthed audio where he admitted to “aggressing” her.
Subscribers to Amazon’s podcast service, Wondery, were given early access to the content, but when the April 8 general release date came, the interview never dropped.
Instead, it appears it was scrapped without ever being mentioned, as a Kash Doll episode was released instead.
My girl @kashdoll is in the building! We talked about everything – from evolving as an artist and as a woman, to how her hit “For Everybody” changed her life! And you know, I had to ask about her new boo,” Palmer captioned her Instagram post in a business-as-usual manner.
It looks like the episode was shelved for now, but she did promote it last week by releasing a clip of her and Majors playing a game of “This or That,” in which they bonded over their shared obsession with “time” after he said he’d choose “owning the past” over “rewriting the future.”
Palmer also caught slack for giving him a platform after she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse herself at the hands of her child’s father, Darius Jackson.
Majors was convicted of misdemeanor reckless assault in the third degree and harassment of Jabbari, stemming from a March 2024 incident that began to unravel after he called police when he found her unconscious on the floor of his New York apartment.
