You know you’ve made it in Hollywood when people start asking you who you’d like to play you in a biopic. And you’ve known you made it as a streamer when one of the biggest comedians in the world says your name.
Kevin Hart found himself in this situation when he recently spoke to Vibe about the upcoming sci-fi action film Borderlands.
During the interview, Hart was floated the biopic question, and without much hesitation, he mentioned streamer and New York-born influencer Kai Cenat because he sees his potential as an entertainer.
“Is that where we are? āKevin, who do you want to play you?ā Oh, my goodness. I mean, when we get to that point, itās definitely a great conversation. I would say in a perfect world, in the future ā because I got a feeling that theyāll be able to knock it out the park because of the way theyāll be ā Kai Cenat,” he said. “Cut the dreads and stuff off, I think he can get in there and pull out a phenomenal performance.ā
The answer shouldn’t be a complete surprise because Cenat’s known to have sleepover streams with his famous friendsāeveryone from Quavo to Offset and Druskiāand one of the funniest recent ones included Hart.
In fact, the 11-hour Twitch stream that included Hart and Druskii broke the site’s record when it peaked at 712,600 viewers with an overall of nearly five million viewers combined. According to Afrotech, that’s 10% higher than the previous record, which was set by Ninja’s Fortnite stream in 2018, which also included a pretty big name in Drake.
Before he hosted some of the biggest names in the culture on his multi-hour streams, Cenat uploaded his first YouTube video in 2018. His content mainly consisted of prank videos before he joined the AMP YouTube group alongside fellow content creator Fanum.
