Nearly two months into 2025, and Kyle Kuzma‘s already having a pretty great year.
In early February, he was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Milwaukee Bucks to chase a ring, but in the meantime, he plans to slip another kind on his finger.
Kuzma announced on Instagram that he and his girlfriend, Winnie Harlow, are engaged. The joint social post shows several photos, including shots of the two kissing as Harlow sports the giant rock on her finger, which Vogue says is 8.5 carats. This isn’t much for Kuz, who signed a four-year $102 million deal in 2023.
Other pictures in the photo dump show a private jet with roses spread across the floor. The final slide is a video showing Harlow being greeted by friends and family after Kuz popped the question while Jagged Edge’s ‘Let’s Get Married’ plays in the background.

Thanks to Harlow’s model status, details of the proposal were given exclusively to Vogue, who says Kuzma began preparing six months ago before eventually getting down on bended knee on Feb. 13 while on a flight to Turks and Caicos. Kuzma chose the tropical vacation spot because he remembers it was the first vacation the two went on together back in 2022.
According to Vogue, Kuzma read her a poem that ended with “Will you be my wife?” before putting the ring—which he designed himself—on her finger.
“I never really asked her what type of ring she liked or anything,” the NBA champion says. “I just wanted to draw a picture of what I felt resembled her—something that was elegant, but very timeless and simplistic at the same time.”
Harlow broke down the day for Vogue saying as soon as she landed, her sister didn’t answer a phone call and her mom abruptly hung. She was suspicious, but when they walked into the villa minutes later, she was greeted by her and Kuzma’s entire family.
