We don’t believe that athletes should just shut up and dribble, but like many, we wish they were informed when they started discussing politics.
Washington Wizards hooper Kyle Kuzma learned the hard way that thinking out loud on X, formerly Twitter, especially about politics, can get you dragged.
Kuzma thought it was a safe space to praise RFK’s disparaging comments he made about the Democratic Party during a speech where he announced he was suspending his campaign, subsequently endorsing Donald Trump, which is honestly one of the most heada** political decisions ever.
“What most alarms me isn’t how the Democratic Party conducts its internal affairs, or runs its candidates. What alarms me is the resort to censorship and media control and the weaponization of the federal agencies. When a U.S. President colludes with, or outright coerces media companies to censor political speech, it is an attack on our most sacred right of free expression, and that’s the very right upon which all of our other constitutional rights rest,” Kennedy said.
In the caption of a repost of RFK’s rambling and nonsensical speech from right-wing nut Charlie Krik, Kuzma wrote, “Damn. Interesting to hear this from someone with a lifelong perspective & family heritage!”
Someone wrote in response to his post, “His whole family came out against him, Kyle.”
In a previous post, Kuzma pointed out that RFK should have been Donald Trump’s running mate, not JD Vance.
“This would have made more sense as a running mate than JD Vanceā¦ cause i get incredible strange vibes from him lol,” Kuzma wrote on X.
Kyle Kuzma Also Had Thoughts About The Democratic National Convention
He also complained about the Democratic National Convention, writing in another post, “DNC just wanted claps and laughs, lol sick world man.”
Commenters were quick to point out the sh*t show that wad the RNC that had guest speakers like Hulk Hogan and Amber Rose.
When one commenter explained to Kuzma that the DNC did an exceptional job of getting their base excited Kuzman replied, “true.”
Still, that didn’t stop people from dunking on Kuzma and saying that he just needs to come out in full support of Donald Trump and the MAGA movement.
