LeBron James has achieved many milestones in his storied career, but the latest one may be the most impressive of all. No, not his points total or his endurance over 20 NBA seasons. It’s that now he’s forever immortalized as a Ken doll. Yes, Mattel and James got together to release a doll in his likeness with his signature fashion flair.

The toy brand really paid attention to detail, dressing the doll in Nike Terminator sneakers, a LeBron Family Foundation T-shirt, a letterman jacket emblazoned with ‘LJ’, a fitted hat, a gold watch, and an ‘I Promise’ wristband. Beats-branded headphones wrapped around his neck are part of the ensemble, and on his jacket are patches representing his foundation, his number 23, and his native Ohio. Since he stands 6’9″, the doll is an inch taller than the standard Ken doll.

This is one of the first ‘Kenbassador’ dolls to be included in Barbie’s 65th anniversary celebration in 2026.

“As a young kid, I was fortunate to have role models who not only inspired me but also showed me what’s possible through hard work and dedication,” James said in a statement. “Now, as an adult, I understand how vital it is for young people to have positive figures to look up to. That’s why partnering with Barbie to release the LeBron James Kenbassadors doll is such an honor. It’s an opportunity to recognize the powerful impact of role models who instill confidence, inspire dreams, and show kids that they, too, can achieve greatness.”

The doll doesn’t come out until April 14, when it will be available at Target, Walmart, Amazon, and Mattel, with only 5000 units available. It’s geared to adult collectors, which Mattel says comprises a growing percentage of its customers.

Mattel will donate to the LeBron James Family Foundation in honor of the doll’s debut and James’ ongoing commitment to the community in his hometown of Akron, Ohio. With each sale of the doll, Mattel will donate James’ children’s book “I Am More Than” to Save the Children.

When presented with the doll for the first time, James chuckled and joked,He might need to do a little lifting. Legs look a little frail…nah, he’s dope.”
