Chicago rapper Lil Durk has found himself in legal trouble once again.

According to NBC Chicago, he’s been arrested in Florida on a murder-for-hire charge shortly after five members of his OTF crew –short for Only The Family– were also booked as co-conspirators for a Los Angeles killing.

The 32-year-old was arrested by Florida Marshals and booked in Broward County, where he’s being held without bond.

Those members of OTF are being accused of killing rapper Quando Rondo‘s cousin 24-year-old cousin Saviay’a Robinson in California in 2022.

Feds say the murder took place as revenge for the Atlanta killing of King Von, a known label associate of Durk, nearly four years ago. Quando’s associate Lul Timm fatally shot Von during an altercation, but he was never sentenced for the crime as the beef escalated.

Durk’s OTF collective is also the namesake of his label, and according to the Chicago Tribune, the prosecution believes a credit card tied to the imprint paid for flights and rental cars to Los Angeles to kill Rondo in 2022.

Once the crew arrived in Los Angeles on an August day, they sprayed a vehicle that Rondo and his cousin were in with bullets while at a gas station. Rondo got away unarmed, but his cousin died of his injuries.

Durk has been accused of murder involvement before, including earlier this month when he was sued by the mother of fellow Chicago rapper Carlton Weekly, known as FBG Duck, who was allegedly targeted outside of a Dolce & Gabbana store in the Gold Coast when masked gunmen killed him.

TMZ reports that “Durk’s lawyers, Brian Bieber and Alek Ubieta, confirmed the hip hop star was busted by the Marshals, adding that he will have his first appearance Friday in federal court in Miami, Fla.”

Alongside other Chicago rappers like Lil Reese and Chief Keef, Durk is known as one of the forefathers of the drill rap scene, which has morphed into other cities adopting it and putting their own spin on it.

Below, see how social media is reacting to the ongoing beef and retaliations in the Chicago rap scene.
